I am a big magento fan, and love playing with magento backend (not really). But the system is really strong and I support the platform. So today, I installed an older version of magento because I wanted to create a website from some old extension that I had. The platform served its purpose for what I needed on the website. So the version that I am working with is 184.108.40.206. And what I am going to show you how to do today in this post is How to remove “Help Us to Keep Magento Healthy – Report All Bugs” from the bottom of the footer on the default magento template.
What you need to do is ftp into your server and go to the magento installation area and then go to this specific directory to find the footer.phtml file and open to edit.
Once you’ve open up the file in your favorite editor go to line (30) and edit at line or delete it. It should have be a paragraph tag with class = bugs to start that line.
Then save it and re-upload the changes to your server. And as with every changes. Be sure to go into the backend admin area to clear the cache so you can see the changes on your live website.
